Potluck Party ポットラックパーティー

Went for potluck party yesterday at my friend's house in Toda Koen (戸田公園).. I cooked 'Nasi goreng Cina' or in English fried rice (Chinese style) for the party.. Since I didn't have any large container, carried my rice cooker all the way from Shiki to the party.. :)

Other than fried rice, there's salad with sesame oil, hash browns, fried chicken, Indonesian cuisine called Soto Ayam, sushi and takoyaki.. Green tea, apple and orang juice, some alcoholic drinks (just to name a few, didn't drink any alcoholic drink (of course! haha)) My rice cooker is the white one,

While eating, we watched TV (Japanese prank show).. Japanese prank is the best.. ^^V

Then, suddenly, someone turned off the light and everyone sang the birthday song.. I'm surprised.. Yeah, my friend said the party is some kind of party to celebrate my friend, Rima and my birthday but didn't expect any cake!

Thanks to my friend's mom for the home-made cake!:)
After the cake-cutting ceremony (hehe), we continued watching TV and chat with each other..

Club's Activities サークルのアクティビティ

It's 1st of February! ^^ Since I'm in a long holiday until April and didn't have any plans to go anywhere for a while, I might as well update my blog with past activities that I've participated. There's a few I would like to share in my blog, so, in this entry (even though it's quite late) I will share about two Christmas parties I went and a presentation I did for the two clubs I joined, Lingua Franca and Join Us.

Both of the parties was held on the same day, 21st December 2010.

The first Christmas party, by Lingua Franca of Niiza campus. It was just a small party attended by 10 members. We brought snacks and shared it. Oh, we did present exchange too! Everyone must bring a present (the value is recommended to be below 500yen) and exchanged it. Sorry there's no picture of the presents though, hehe,

Later in the evening, I did a presentation about Malaysia in JoinUs final Coffee Hour for the Fall semester. Had a great time with my presentation partner, Fumiya-kun and the other members. I did a memory game for the members to learn Malay language. Looked like everyone enjoyed it :)

It's been a long time.. 久しぶり..

Wow, it's over a month now since I posted my last entry. Lots of thing happened during this period of time. I received my student card (学生証明書 Gakusei Shomeisho), commuting certificate (通学定期乗車券発行控 Tsugaku teiki joshaken hakko hikae) and I bought a 1month Commuting pass (定期券 Teikiken). The pass is very convenient, cheap and it costs me 4580yen (including 500yen deposit for the PASMO card).

With the pass, I don't have to worry anymore about the ridiculously expensive ticket price.. Hehe..

During this 1 month plus, I've attended a few parties organised by Rikkyo's Centre for International Studies, Rikkyo's Ladies Club, International Friendly Lunch (IFL) and JoinUs. Both IFL and JoinUs is managed by Rikkyo's student. It provides good chance to interact with both Japanese students and International students. In Japan, the clubs available in university is called サークル (Sakuru), derived from the word 'Circle', I think.. So, for now, I'm officially the member of IFL, JoinUs and another サークル in Niiza campus called Lingua Franca. Here's some pics of the events/parties I've attended:

The last JoinUs Coffee Hour I attended. I can't attend any more because they changed the time to Wednesday (I got lecture during that time),
I think everything went well during this 1 month plus and I'm looking forward to post some new entries later. There's a lot of things to post! Hehe.. Ok, bye for now.. ^^
